Privacy Notice
Last updated: October 13, 2026
This Privacy Notice explains how Diamondly Weddings ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use our AI wedding planning service (the "Service"). Diamondly Weddings is the data controller for the personal data described here.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: your name, email address, and login credentials (or Google sign-in details).
- Planning data: questionnaire answers, wedding date and location, budget, checklist, guest list and seating details, chat conversations with the AI planner, and any notes you add.
- Helper data: email addresses of helpers you invite, and their role.
- Usage and device data: log data, IP address, device and browser identifiers, and how you use the Service.
- Support data: messages you send us.
Payment card details are collected and processed directly by Paddle (our Merchant of Record); we never see or store your full card number.
2. Why we use it (purposes and legal bases)
- To provide the Service — creating your account, saving your plans, generating AI roadmaps and suggestions (legal basis: performance of our contract with you).
- Security and fraud prevention — protecting accounts and the Service (legal basis: legitimate interests).
- Product improvement — understanding how the Service is used to improve it (legal basis: legitimate interests).
- Customer support — responding to your requests (legal basis: contract / legitimate interests).
- Marketing — occasional emails about the Service, only with your consent where required; you can opt out at any time (legal basis: consent).
- Legal obligations — where we must keep or disclose records by law.
3. Who we share it with
- Service providers / subprocessors: hosting, database, AI processing (to generate your roadmaps and suggestions), analytics, and support tooling — only as needed to run the Service.
- Paddle (Merchant of Record): for the sale of the Service, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing.
- Professional advisers: legal and accounting, where needed.
- Authorities: where required by law.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. International transfers
Some of our service providers process data outside the UK/EEA. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When data is no longer needed — for example after you delete your account — we delete or anonymise it, except where the law requires us to keep it longer (for example tax records held by Paddle).
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under UK/EU GDPR), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data
- Restrict or object to processing
- Data portability
- Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)
- Complain to your local data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the chat in your account. We respond within one month.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security so each couple can only see their own wedding data (and helpers only what they've been invited to).
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and run the Service. If we add analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask for your consent and you can manage your preferences at any time through your browser settings.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this notice from time to time; the "last updated" date above shows the latest version. Questions about privacy? Contact Diamondly Weddings through the chat in your account.
